Where does a Registered Nurse from Spread Eagle, Wisconsin focus her attention when she’s not teaching new mothers how to care for their infants?  Besides swimming in the lake near her home and watching bald eagles swoop for fish in front of her, Susan Priem, spends her time making stained glass artworks, creating lampwork beads, fusing metals, forming pottery, and teaching classes!

Armed with a torch, five kilns, and design inspirations that come from everywhere, Susan is a “one woman operation” that is loving every second of her time spent creating stained glass, pottery, and jewelry while teaching others how to follow in her footprints.

If you were to ask Susan what makes her jewelry and artworks different, she would tell you, “Every aspect is handmade — I even make my necklace clasps by hand. I saw women having such a hard time closing commercial clasps that I just starting making my “easy on/easy off” clasps. I love to make things that make you feel happy. I love to use bright colors. I try to make jewelry and artworks that make you smile.”
