bonbonbini blankets grew from the fertile imagination of Kristin Slawson, a former corporate product manager turned creative fashion designer. When Kristin opted out of the corporate world to marry and begin a family, her focus shifted to designing and offering baby blankets that were natural, practical, modern, and distinctive.

In 2002, everything came together.  Kristin was able to purchase a custom-designed fabric company, nurture it from its infancy, and infuse it with her own personality and vision.  The timing was fortuitous; not long afterwards, she gave birth to her own two toddlers, Jack, followed less than two years later by Chloe.

bonbonbini blankets – which Kristin uses for her own little ones – are stylish yet practical and not confined to nighttime only.  They’re designed for use in the park, on the carpet, in the stroller, in the playroom, from 100% cotton that’s soft, gentle, and non-synthetic.  And unlike the run-of-the-mill juvenile patterns on most baby blankets, Kristin’s designs are beautifully original and downright fun.

Today, Kristin designs and sews many of her own patterns from her hometown in Cleveland.  She describes bonbonbini blankets as “truly blankets that you can’t live without.”
